About Library

The school has a very spacious library with a stock of more than 10,000 books. Every year the school adds quite a good number of books to make it richer. To promote the reading habit, the school celebrates a reading week every year with a variety of literary programmes. However, a ‘reading time’ is observed every Friday after the noon interval.

Library Rules

All students of the school are members of the Library. Strict discipline and silence are to be observed in the Library and Reading rooms. Students from classes IV to XII can borrow one book at a time. Library books should be properly looked after and returned on the due date. Library books will be issued and returned only during the library period of the class and not in any other teaching hours. Marking, Underlining, cutting and erasing or tearing pages of books are strictly prohibited and are liable to be punished if any such damage to the library books is detected by the Librarian. Text books, reference books, journals and periodicals are to be read in the library and reading rooms only. They are not meant for home issue. The Librarian may recall a book at any time in case of urgency. Library books are to be returned at least one week before leaving the station or any break and one month before any vacation.
